If you want to throw more things away, escalate the value question you ask. Most people stop at “What do I have that is completely worthless?” or “What do I have that I am sure I will never use?” Instead consider asking a more pointed question: “What do I have that would be more valuable if owned by someone else?” “What could I take away to make the space look better?” “What could I throw away without creating a crisis?”
