still here
After the last time you use a material possession, it does not matter whether you have the item or only imagine that you still have it.
just my imagination
To change your thoughts through affirmations and similar techniques you may need to consciously repeat the new thoughts many times. One common challenge is that you may imagine that you have done the number of repetitions needed when in reality you have only imagined most of the repetitions.
timelines
Imagine what you would choose to do if:
- You had unlimited money but limited time.
- You had unlimited time but limited resources.
- You knew you could not fail using the time and resources you have already.
stranger in the house
Walk into your own house imagining that it is someone else’s. You’ll see it in a different way. You’ll see things you ordinarily overlook.

To connect to the meaning of a historical document, imagine getting in a time machine and going to the period when the information was put together.
good for something
A person who is unable to help you in one way may be able to help in another way.

Halloween spirit
Think of an animal with claws that you might choose as a character and a costume. Think of a specific person, real or fictional, who you might choose as a character and a costume. Think of an occupation that you might choose as a character and a costume. Think of a sea animal that you might choose as a character and a costume. Think of a commercial product or food item that you might choose as a character and a costume. Imagine how you might portray a force of nature as a character and a costume.
pole position
When junk is neatly stacked up and ready to go, even though you can’t take it out immediately, it’s easier to mentally start making it disappear.
your review
Think about work that you have just finished. Imagine that a reviewer has noticed the worst or most embarrassing qualities of the work. Think about what this tells you about a way your work could be improved, either in the future or by redoing one part of the work you have just done. Imagine that a reviewer has focused on the best or most impressive quality of the work. Think about what this tells you about a way your work could be improved, either in the future or by adding to the work you have just done. Notice that all these ideas are the result of a review that you have only imagined. Imagine some of the ideas that you might get from a real review. Notice that these ideas too are the result of a review that you have only imagined.
all the world
Imagine that you have a moment on stage. You want to shine; your posture and manner will be seen and remembered by a hundred people or more. After you leave the stage, imagine that many more people will see you, though only a few at a time and seemingly at random, as you go about the rest of your day. You have a chance to expand your impact by making an impression on them too.
the last mall
Imagine reaching such a level of financial success that you did not need to go shopping at all.
global predicament
Imagine what the world would look like if 1 billion people faced the same problem that bothers you.
cover to cover
Think of something you would like to accomplish that you don’t know how to do. Imagine that you could buy or borrow one book on the subject, and that after reading it, you would know the most important things you need to know to do that kind of work.
cosmic catalog
Ideas are cheap. Even amazing ideas are cheap. You may have only one or two at a time, and that can make them seem scarce, but write them down in capsule form as they occur, and soon you will have a book full of ideas.
furniture spotlight
Look at a piece of furniture. Imagine that the piece of furniture is taken away. Would it make a difference? Imagine that the piece of furniture is replaced by a more suitable piece of furniture. How much different would that make? Imagine that the piece of furniture is moved to a different place. How much difference would that make?
